New Beginnings

For as long as I can remember, all I wanted to do was travel the world. After raising my 2 beautiful children and many years working in Emergency Services, the time has come to don a backpack and start exploring! I have spent years thinking about my perfect itinerary and kit. But do you know what? My journey is very much not about perfect. I have put together a backpack setup that I'm pretty happy with, I have my first few destinations in mind and I'm just going to head out and see where the world takes me.

After much deliberation, I have chosen to set out with an Osprey Fairview 40L backpack and carefully curated all the things I need for indefinite travel. I will share with you what I am taking. I'm also fortunate to be starting out with a decent budget. However, if I'm frugal and savvy with my money, I'll be able to travel all that much longer, right?

I hope you join me on this crazy adventure. I will share all the ups and downs and hopefully instruct and inspire as I explore new places and cultures, meet new friends and eat delicious food.
